Zimbabwe citizens asked to rise up against banks
Detroit News.Net Sunday 30th November, 2008
Zimbabweans are about to demand unlimited cash withdrawals from their banks.
Trade Unions in the country have rallied to ask Zimbabweans to withdraw money beyond the daily limit next Wednesday.
The government allows people to withdraw only 500,000 Zimbabwean dollars a day, which only buys a partial loaf of bread.
Zimbabwe's government imposed the withdrawal limits in an effort to ease a cash shortage, driven largely by inflation.
